2013, December 17th. After some announcements, we enjoyed our second annual Snackluck. Memebers brought favorite snacks to share with others. Our PFLAG Chapter provided the beverages.

2013, November 19th. Alex Mirabal showed pictures and talked about her trip to Africa. Whoever brought the most guests received a free gift of their choice of a PFLAG ABQ t-shirt or polo shirt.

2013, October 24th (originally scheduled for September 26th). PFLAG ABQ's 2nd Annual Talent Show in the Fellowship Room of the First Congregational UCC from 7:30-9:00 PM. Admission was free, as well as refreshments.

2013, October 15th. Our 2013 Annual Meeting began with a potluck dinner at 7:00 PM. Midway through the evening, we held a brief business meeting to review our activities in 2013 and to ask for votes on next year's Board of Directors. We also asked members for comments and suggestions regarding the chapter's direction and plans for 2014.

PFLAG-Abq members generally bring potluck dishes to share. This year (to assure a variety of foods) we asked members to provide items according to last name: "A -- G" deserts; "H -- O" salads or cold plates; "P -- Z" Entrees or hot plates. As always, the chapter provided sandwiches, beverages, condiments, plates and napkins, and utensils.

2013, September 17thof GLBTs and GLBTs who are parents. . Our program was a panel discussion of parents We conducted our program in an interview style. Each panelist was asked a question, then given an opportunity to answer. (Our goal was to give every attendee a better idea of what it is like to be a the parent of a GLBT child or a GLBT person who is a parent.)

2013, August 20th. Our presenters were AVER, Outserve, and the Kirtland Air Force Base GSA.

2013, July 16th. Tony Carson (New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association) spoke about NMGRA and an upcoming rodeo.

2013, June 29th. PFLAG Albuquerque was one of the Grand Marshals in the Albuquerque Pride Parade. We had a booth on Main Street in the Expo New Mexico grounds during the Albuquerque Pride festivities.

2013, June 18th. Neil Macernie, President of Albuquerque Pride, told us about the organization and about the upcoming Pride celebration.

2013, May 21st. "8th Annual Families and Friends Potluck" We began at 7 PM with a vote by our members on a proposed change to our bylaws. Next, we got food, lots! Our head count was 85 participants, a record for Albuquerque PFLAG. We briefly honored Jim and Jean Genasci, presenting a commemorative plaque of thanks, then heard brief reports from some of our guest organizations.

2013, May 18th. PFLAG Abq presents the Annual Prom. The theme: Rocky Horror Picture Show. Heights Community Center, 823 Buena Vista Drive SE, Albuquerque, 7-10:30 PM. Anyone age 14-19 may attend. Pre-sale tickets are $15. At the door they are $20.

2013, April 16th. Paula Ramsey and Venesee Mildren were our speakers. They toldl us about the "Supporting Students, Saving Lives" Conference that they attended.

2013, March 19th. Barbara Korbal and Bennett Hammer were our speakers. They told us about their gay news article archiving project.

2013, February 19. Alma Rosa Silva Banuelas, Program Director of UNM's LGBTQ Resource Center, presented.

2013, February 14th, from 2 -- 4 PM. Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Seniors(50+) and Allies "Valentine's Day Get Together" at North Valley Senior Center, 3825 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM. Hosted by (SAGE) Service and Advocacy for GLBTQ Elders and PFLAG Albuquerque. Refreshments provided by Decades LLC. (North Valley Senior Center is located North of I40 and West of I25. If you're on 4th Street it is 1 mile South of Montano Rd [on right] and 2 blocks North of Candelaria Road [on left]. The Center is on the Southwest corner of Aztec Road and 4th Street. The entrance to the parking lot is from Aztec Road.)

2013, January 15th. Amanda Johnson, Field Organizer for the ACLU of New Mexico, spoke about the 2013 session of the New Mexico Legislature and the All Families Matter Coalition.
